The film is dedicated to the French poet Gisèle Prassinos. I chose her early poem «Corvée», written in 1934 when she was only 14 years old. In an interview, she recalled that one hot summer day, after a hard chore around the house, she sat down at the typewriter and typed several poems without hesitation.. Her brother, the artist Mario Prassinos, showed these texts to his surrealist friends, and they were delighted to see real automatic writing in them. Considering «Corvée» as a surreal text, I listen to its rhythm, and this is more important than its meaning, so there is no translation in the film. It reminded me of a childhood hopscotch game. The heroine is in the space between sleep and awakening, everyday sounds transform into strange images, the game gives birth to a text and at the same time becomes a ritual of initiation into poetry. The film was created as part of the video poetry lab at Dom Radio, curated by Dasha Chernova.
