A tribute to the Greek animation by the Television of Parliament, at the "Mikrokimata" show, in collaboration with the Hellenic Animation Association (ASIFA Hellas) and within the framework of the Action "75 Years of Greek Animation" is screened every Friday at midnight and repeatedly on Saturday at 01:00 after midnight.

The Live Awards Ceremony for the selected winners of the awards and honorary mentions of professional and student short film animation competitional parts of the Ionian Contemporary Animation Festival ICONA 2020 is held on Sunday, December 6th, 2020, at 18.00 CET. See the detailed programme. 

All registered users that may watch the LIVE Screenings (December 4th-6th, 2020) can vote for their favorite movie during the screenings, so to select the winners of the ICONA.

The screenings of the festival, which will take place exclusively online, from December the 4th until December the 6th, 2020, will be available worldwide only for registered users with password. * Please note that the screenings schedule has been announced in Central European Time (CET), that is GMT+1 zone.

ASIFA HELLAS celebrates World Animation Day online on Tuesday 27 October 2020. The Animation film screening program includes, among others, award-winning and selected films from the ICONA Festival 2019, organized by the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University, as part of the CIAK research project.

The aim of the Ionian Contemporary Animation Festival ICONA 2020 is to present the best from the field of animation from all around the world. The festival also aims to preserve and help develop the cultural heritage of animated film, contribute to creation of new films, provide ground for potential international co-productions and encourages dialogue between professionals, filmmakers and the public.
